Try this delicious eggnog recipe, perfect for the holidays!
|5 dl||fat milk|
|1.25 dl||rum (you can add more in the end if you like)|
|1,25 dl||brandy (bourbon or whiskey)|
|1 teaspoon||vanilla essence|
|¼ teaspoon||of salt|
|nutmeg (you can add more in the end if you like)|
1 - Beat the egg yolks until well blended. Gradually add half the sugar, beating well until it is a whitish color. Add rum, brandy, vanilla essence, and salt. Refrigerate until well cooled. Approximately 2 to 3 hours.
2 - In a bowl, beat the cream very well. And in another bowl beat the whites, joining the rest of the sugar gradually.
3 - Place the mixture of the yolks and whipped cream into the bowl of egg whites. Add the nutmeg and stir until smooth. Place in a refrigerator or jar in a clean bottle.
Note: To make Eggnog without alcohol take out the two alcoholic drinks and add another 7.5 dl of milk. Serve the drink cold or at room temperature if you prefer. Put it in the refrigerator to keep the rest of the drink fresh, as this recipe is made from milk and eggs.
