Granola-Yogurt Snack Recipe


3 cupsold-fashioned oats
2 cupsquick rolling oats
1 cupchopped pecans (or sliced almonds)
1/4 cupmaple syrup
1 tspvanilla
4 tspcinnamon
1/2 tspnutmeg
1 cupdried cranberries
fresh fruits (strawberries, blueberries)
5 cups low fat yogurt (plain or vanilla)


  1. Preheat oven to 300F.
  2. Combine oats and nuts in a large bowl.
  3. Combine maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg in smaller bowl. Pour over oat mixture, stirring to coat.
  4. Spread mixture evenly on a greased baking sheet. Bake 45-60 minutes, until toasted, stirring every 15 minutes.
  5. Make yogourt parfaits by layering the yogourt, the oat mixture, and top with fresh fruit.
