Leftover Mashed Potato Mouse Faces Recipe


A perfect recipe to make for your little one using your leftover mash potatoes!

Ingredients

1 ¼ cupmashed potatoes
2hash browns (or 1 slice of bread)
4green olives
2raisins, cut in half
1red pepper
2-3 sliceslettuce

Preparation

  1. Head: place approximately ½ cup of mash potatoes, flattened in a circle on each plate
  2. Nose: roll approximate 1/8 cup of mash potatoes in a ball and lay on top (in center) of the head. Then cut 2 little red circles out of the red pepper and add it on top
  3. Whiskers: cut a few thin pieces of lettuce, use scissors to slightly curl end of each piece and place them behind the nose; 3 on each side
  4. Eyes: place 2 green olives above each nose and use the raisin halves for the center of each eye
  5. Eyebrows: rip a few little pieces of lettuce and place above each eye
  6. Mouth: cut 2 triangles out of red pepper and place on the bottom of the face
  7. Shirt: rip a big piece of lettuce, and place below each head
  8. Bow tie: cut the red pepper into 2 bow tie shapes and place on each shirt
  9. Ears: cut 4 circles out of the hash browns or bread and place 2 circles above each head
