Chinese Style Grilled Shrimp Recipe


Ingredients

1shrimp
1 stalkgreen onion, green part only, chopped
2 clovesgarlic, very finely minced
2 tspfresh ginger, grated
1 tspchile pepper (to taste), finely minced
1 tspsea (or kosher) salt
1 tspcooking oil
bamboo skewers, soaked in water 30 minutes

Preparation

  1. Preheat grill to high heat. In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix thoroughly to coat the shrimp. At this point, refrigerate for up to overnight or just proceed to next step.
  2. Skewer the shrimp - for jumbo shrimp, you may want to use two bamboo skewers for each. Grill 2-4 minutes each side (depends on how big the shrimp are). Serve immediately.
