Pizza Sauce Recipe


1/4 - 1/2 cuptomato paste
~ 2 tspgarlic, crushed/grated
1 tspdried oregano
1bay leaf
1/2 tspvinegar
~ 1 tspsugar
1/2 tsppepper powder
olive oil


  1. Blanch the tomatoes: put them in boiling water for around 10 minutes and peel the skin.
  2. Chop the blanched tomatoes and grind to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add crushed/grated garlic. Stir it till it turns golden brown in colour.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to it. Mix well and let it boil. Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring continuously, until it is reduced in quantity and thick enough to spread without being runny.
  5. Discard the bay leaf. Let it cool completely and store in an airtight container.
