Ingredients

2 cupscooked Indian rice
2 tbspblack gram
2 tbspred lentils
1/2lemon juice
2 tbspcashew nuts
1 tspcumin seeds
1 tsptandori spice
1/2 tspturmeric
1 tbspoil
fresh herbs for garnish

Preparation

  1. Heat oil. Add cumin seeds, lentils and gram, tandori and turmeric. Mix well.
  2. Add 1/2 cup of water, and bring to boil.
  3. Simmer about 10-15 minutes till lentils and black gram are cooked. If needed add more water.
  4. Once lentils and black gram are cooked and water evaporates, add rice, cashew nuts, mix well. Simmer until rice warms up.
  5. Serve sprinkled with lemon juice and herbs.
