Matcha Brioche with Kuromame Recipe


You don't need a bread maker to enjoy this delicious brioche.

Ingredients

150mLmilk
5gmatcha
3eggs
50gbutter, room temperature
400gwheat flour
60gsugar
pinchsalt
1 packagedried yeast
1/2 cupkuromame
3 tbsporange jam
2 tbspbrandy
2 tbspwater
1 tbspsugar

Preparation

  1. Bread Maker
  2. Mix matcha with milk, pour it into baking tray, add eggs, butter, flour, sugar, salt and dried yeast, start program for brioche. Once dough doubles in size, sprinkle with Kuromame. Without Bread Maker
  3. Mix matcha with milk, pour it into big bowl, add eggs, butter, flour, sugar, salt and dried yeast. Mix well and knead into uniform dough.
  4. Keep dough in warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Knead again, sprinkle with Kuromame and let rise again, about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake in oven at 180C, about 50 minutes, until golden brown. Glaze
  7. Mix orange jam, brandy, water and sugar.
  8. Brush baked cake with glaze and serve.
