Waffles Recipe


This yummy Belgian waffles recipe is best when eaten with fruit for breakfast or chocolate for dessert.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cupslukewarm milk
6 tbspbutter, melted
2-3 tbsphoney (optional)
3/4 tspsalt
1 tspvanilla
2large eggs
2 cupsall purpose flour
1 1/2 tspinstant yeast

Preparation

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl, leaving room for expansion; the mixture will bubble and grow.
  2. Stir to combine, it does not need to be perfectly smooth. Cover with plastic wrap, and let rest at room temperature for 1 hour to overnight.
  3. Preheat waffle iron. Spray with non-stick vegetable oil spray.
  4. Pour 2/3 to 3/4 cup batter onto the center of the waffle iron. Close the lid and bake until the waffle is golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately, topped with banana, honey or syrup and whipped cream.
