Korean Spicy Pork Belly Recipe

Sweet and spicy pork belly dish that tastes great Korean style barbecued or fried in a pan.


4 stripspork belly
green onions
sesame seeds, toasted.
2 tbspgochuchang
1.5 tspsugar
1 tbspdoenjang.
sesame oil
2-3 clovesgarlic, minced
1small onion, minced.
1green Korean pepper, chopped and minced
1 tbspKorean red pepper paste (or cayenne pepper)
4 tbsp soy sauce


  1. Prepare marinade, mix until pasty: gochuchang, sugar, doenjang, sesame oil, water, garlic, onion, Korean pepper, red pepper paste, soy sauce, salt and pepper
  2. Add pork belly. Leave for 45 minutes - overnight.
  3. Spray the pan/Korean barbecue grill with cooking spray. Stir fry until pork belly is cooked, or leave it until caramelized and flip.
  4. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion.
  5. Serve with rice.
