Creamy Beef Stroganoff Recipe

A new way to make a classic favourite; substitute noodles with rice if you prefer.

0.5 kgground beef
1large green bell pepper, diced
1 cupmushrooms, cut
1large onion, diced
4 clovesgarlic, minced
1 1/2 cupchicken broth
1/4 cupwhite cooking wine
8ozcream cheese, cut up (1/2 - 1 stick)
1 canmushroom soup
1/4 cupmilk
olive oil
egg noodles


  1. Prepare the noodles as instructed on box, in salted water.
  2. Fry the onions, pepper, garlic and mushrooms in olive oil.
  3. Add the beef and fry it until it is brown.
  4. Add the cut up cream cheese and stir to let it melt.
  5. Add the wine, milk and chicken stock.
  6. Add the soup.
  7. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Serve on top of egg noodles.
