Sansho Steak & Potatoes Casserole Recipe


Don't ruin your appetite before this filling meal; it will leave you full but still craving more.

Ingredients

2beef steaks
2 tbspsake
1/2 tbspsansho
1 tbspoil
2large potatoes, peeled and sliced
1zucchini, sliced
1red onion, halved and sliced
3 clovesgarlic, minced
50galmond slices
1 tspcurry
pinchsalt
dash of freshly ground black pepper
1 cupyoghurt
100gspinach, torn
1 tbspoil

Preparation

  1. Marinate steaks in sake, about 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil, fry garlic, onion and almond flakes about 3 minutes.
  3. Brush casserole dish with oil, layer with potato slices and zucchini slices alternately, sprinkle with fried garlic, red onion and almonds.
  4. Mix yogurt with curry, salt and pepper, pour over the vegetables.
  5. Bake 25 minutes covered and 5 minutes uncovered, under grill.
  6. Heat oil, sprinkle steaks with sansho and fry 4 minutes at each side for medium done.
  7. Serve with slice of vegetable casserole.
