Tomato And Mozzarella Pinweels Recipe

These tasty tomato pizza rolls make a great appetizer or side dish.


250gall purpose flour
1/2 tspsugar
1/2 tspsalt
10gfresh yeast
100mLmilk, lukewarm
125gmozzarella, drained and grated
25gbutter (or margarine)
tomato paste (or ketchup)
cheddar cheese, shredded
dry oregano


  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm milk.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine the flour, the salt, the sugar.
  3. Add the grated mozzarella and mix well.
  4. Add the dissolved yeast with the milk, then add butter. Work with hands until dough forms and butter is completely combined with the flour mixture.
  5. Cover and let rise about 1 hour.
  6. Roll dough onto a lightly floured surface about 1" thickness.
  7. Spread tomato paste over dough. Then spread cheddar cheese and oregano.
  8. Roll dough to form a long log. Cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate about 2 hours.
  9. Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  10. Cut dough into a thin rounds. Place rolls onto the cookie sheets about 1 inch apart.
  11. Bake about 15-20 minutes.
