Cherry Clafoutis Recipe


This fresh and tasty recipe is perfect for a summer desset!

Ingredients

~200gfresh cherries
100gsugar
60gall-purpose flour
3eggs
1/2 podvanilla
300mLmilk
1 tbspbrandy
icing sugar
pinchsalt
butter, for greasing the pan

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180*C. Grease a round baking pan.
  2. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until get firm peaks.
  3. Add the yolks, sugar and vanilla seeds (splitting the vanilla pod in half lengthwise with a sharp knife and scraping seeds from pod). Continue beating until the mixture is bubbly and homogeneous.
  4. Then add flour and trickle milk in slowly, while beating continuously.
  5. Finally, add the brandy.
  6. Place the washed and cleaned fresh cherries in the round baking pan and, carefully, pour the mixture over them.
  7. Bake for about 30 minutes.
  8. Dust the clafoutis with icing sugar and serve tepid.
