Cheese Sticks Recipe


These easy to make snacks taste best when they're fresh out of the oven and the cheese is nice and melted. Serve with a marinara sauce for even more flavour!

Ingredients

2frozen puff pastries
heapfulcheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese (or other melting cheese)
2 pinchessalt

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Let the pastries thaw slightly in room temperature.
  3. Separate cheeses into two portions.
  4. Put a pastry on a chopping board. Sprinkle a generous amount of the cheeses and a pinch of salt all over one side of the puff pastry. Layer the second pastry on top of the cheese-filled pastry.
  5. Using a rolling pin, flatten the pastries to ensure they stick together and do not come off easily.
  6. Place the pastry onto a slightly greased tray. Put the remaining cheeses and salt onto the top layer. Using a knife, gently cut into stick shapes (no need to cut all the way through).
  7. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, until it’s golden. Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  8. Cut into sticks and serve.
