Crispy Onion Rings Recipe

These onion rings make a delicious snack or appetizer!

Preparation Time:

40 minutes



onion rings, chopped
all purpose flour
salt and pepper


  1. Combine cornstarch and flour in 1:4 ratio.
  2. Slowly add lukewarm water to cornstarch/flour and mix until it has a pancake batter like consistency.
  3. Dip each onion ring in the batter; make sure they are completely coated.
  4. In a separate bowl, prepare pure cornstarch.
  5. Coat battered onions with starch one by one.
  6. After coating with starch, dip them again in flour batter
  7. Coat rings with breadcrumbs until fully covered. Salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Deep fry until golden brown.
  9. Set on paper towels over cooling racks. Then serve warm.
