Danish Cinnamon Rolls Recipe


This delicious treat will start your day off right!

Ingredients

50gbutter (melted and cooled)
300 mLwarm milk
25gfresh yeast
1egg
2 tbspsugar
pinchsalt
1sachet custard powder
500gplain flour
150gbrown sugar
100gsoft butter
2 tspcinnamon
icing sugar
water

Preparation

  1. Dough
  2. Combine warm milk with yeast.
  3. Add egg, and melted butter. Add sugar and salt. Mix with flour and custard powder. About 5 minutes.
  4. Set aside for 30 minutes. Filling
  5. Combine filling ingredients: brown sugar, soft butter and cinnamon. Icing
  6. Combine icing sugar and water and mix until thick consistency. Roll
  7. Roll the dough out into a large rectangular shape, use flour if necessary.
  8. Spread filling over the entire rectangle.
  9. Roll carefully.
  10. Cut out buns in 2 cm pieces and place each one on baking sheet. Let the buns rise and set about 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 200*C.
  12. Brush buns with whisked egg, then place them in oven.
  13. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden.
  14. Decorate and serve.
