Large Bunny


Ingredients

50 mL or 1/4 cupmargarine or butter
250 g or 1 pkg (about 40)regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature
2 mL or 1/2 tspvanilla extract (optional)
1.5 L or 6 cupsRice Krispies* cereal
Coconut
Miniature marshmallows
Gumdrops

Preparation

REGULAR METHOD
- In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Stir in KELLOGG’S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal until well coated.
- Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan.
- To make 18 cm high bunny, shape 3 ½ cups of mixture for body and 2 cups of mixture for the head.
- Join head and body with toothpicks to create a bunny.
- Shape remaining mixture into a ball for the cottontail, roll in coconut and attach to body with a toothpick.
- Make ears with coloured paper. Cut two slits in the head to attach ears.
- Create eyes, nose and buttons with miniature marshmallows and gumdrop halves. Use paper for whiskers.

STOVE TOP METHOD
Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Follow steps 2 and 3 above.
