Turkey Taco Pasta Supper


1 pkg (340 g)CATELLI SMART® Bows
2 tsp (10 mL)canola oil
12 oz (375 g)lean ground turkey or chicken
1small onion, finely chopped
1 pouch (35 g)sodium-reduced taco seasoning
1 cup (250 mL)strained, puréed (or canned crushed) tomatoes
1 cup (250 mL)water
1/2 cup (125 mL)light sour cream (optional)
1/2 cup (125 mL)each shredded Cheddar cheese, diced tomato and chopped green onion
OptionalCrumbled nacho chips


Cook bows according to package directions.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large, nonstick skillet set over medium-high heat. Add turkey, onion and taco seasoning. Cook, crumbling turkey, for 10 minutes or until well browned. Add tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened.
Toss turkey mixture with hot, cooked bows and divide between four serving bowls. Add a dollop of sour cream (if using). Sprinkle an equal portion of cheese, tomato and green onion onto each portion. Garnish with nacho chips (if using).
