1 jar (700 mL) | Pasta Sauce |
4-5 | slices bacon, finely chopped |
1 | finely chopped onion |
1/3 cup (75 mL) | vodka or chicken broth |
1/3 cup (75 mL) | whipping cream |
1/4 cup (50 mL) | chopped fresh parsley |
1 | Cook penne rigate according to package directions. |
2 | Sauté bacon 2-3 minutes. Add onion and sauté until tender. Add vodka; cook 1 minute or until most of the vodka has reduced. Stir pasta sauce and cream; simmer 4-5 minutes. |
3 | Toss penne rigate with sauce and serve topped with parsley. |
