2 jars (700 mL each) | Pasta Sauce |
1 lb (500 g) | lean ground beef or pork |
2 | finely chopped green onions |
¾ cup (175 mL) | dry bread crumbs |
¼ cup (50 mL) | grated Parmesan Cheese |
1 tsp (5 mL) | each: dried parsley flakes and oregano leaves |
1 | beaten egg |
2 tbsp (30 mL) | vegetable oil |
1/3 cup (75 mL) | water |
1 | Mix together first six ingredients. Shape into about 24-28 meatballs; set aside. |
2 | Brown meatballs in oil. Stir in pasta sauce and water; simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
3 | Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Serve spaghetti topped with meatballs, sauce and cheese. |
