1 cup (250 mL) | frozen mixed vegetables |
2 tbsp (30 mL) | butter or margarine |
2 tbsp (30 mL) | all purpose flour |
2 cups (500 mL) | 1% milk |
2 cups (500 mL) | shredded cheddar cheese |
1 | Cook macaroni according to package directions, adding vegetables during the last 3 minutes. |
2 | In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour. Cook and stir 1 minute. Gradually add milk; cook and stir until just thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheese; stir until melted. |
3 | Toss macaroni-vegetable mixture with sauce. |
