|1/2 lb (250 g)||extra lean ground beef|
|1 each||onion, orange pepper and large jalapeno, chopped|
|1 tbsp (15 mL)||each minced garlic and chili powder|
|1 tsp (5 mL)||each ground cumin and dried oregano|
|1/2 tsp (2 mL)||each salt and pepper|
|1 can (796 mL)||diced tomatoes|
|1 cup (250 mL)||each corn kernels and black beans (drained and rinsed)|
|Sour cream and shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)|
Brown beef with onion, chopped peppers, garlic, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper in a large, nonstick skillet set over medium heat.
Stir in tomatoes, black beans and corn. Simmer, partially covered and stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions. Spoon chili over macaroni and garnish with sour cream and cheese (if using).
