Coach's Creamy Cheese and Fusilli


1 pkg (500 g)CATELLI® FUSILLI
1-5small smoked sausages
1/4 cup (50 mL)butter
1/4 cup (50 mL)flour
3 cups (750 mL)warm 1% or 2% milk
3 cups (750 mL)shredded Cheddar cheese


1Cook fusilli according to package directions.
2Heat sausages and slice into rounds.
3Melt butter. Add flour; cook and stir 3-4 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk; cook, stirring constantly until just thickened. Season to taste with salt. Remove from heat. Add cheese; stir until cheese melts. Add fusilli and sausage; toss to coat.
4Serve topped with tomato, if desired.
